PGA TOUR: FBR Open
Australian Aaron Baddeley claimed his second win on the PGA Tour thanks to 3 birdies in the final 4 holes for a 1 shot victory over John Rollins. Baddeley was 3 shots back of leader Jeff Quinney with 4 holes to play, but reduced that lead to 1 with birdies at 15 and the famous par 3 16th. At the short par 4 17th, Quinney drove into the water and made bogey as Baddeley rolled in a 10 foot birdie putt to go from 1 back to one in front. As Quinney bogeyed the last as well to drop back to third, a safe par up the last was good enough to finish on 21 under-par 263 and edge out Rollins for the title.

EUROPEAN TOUR: Dubai Desert Classic
Henrik Stenson held of two off golf's biggest names and birdied the final hole to secure a 1 shot victory over Ernie Els. Stenson had started the day 2 behind Els, but Els dropped 3 shots in his first 6 holes and Stenson took over. A dropped shot at the 9th, when Stenson had to climb onto a spectator's shoulders to identify his ball on a hospitality unit, did not stop the Swede as he birdied the 11th, 13th and 14th holes to stay in front on a tight leader board. Tiger Woods came with a late run with 4 birdies in the final 6 holes to finish tied 3rd with Niclas Fasth, but Stenson held his nerve and birdied the last to finish on a winning 19 under-par 269 total.

EUROPEAN CHALLENGE TOUR: Club Colombia Masters
Italian Edoardo Molinari, the former US Amateur Champion playing in his first event on the Challenge Tour as a professional, defeated Columbian Gustavo Mendoza at the second extra hole in a play-off to win his first professional event. Both men had finished tied on 5 under-par 279 after strong finishes with Molinari making birdies on 2 of his last 3 holes. However it was not enough as Mendoza birdied 4 of his last 6 including his final 2 holes to tie Molinari and force the play-off. They both birdied the par 5 18th the first time round, but on the second occasion Mendoza found the water with his second shot as Molinari made birdie to secure his maiden win.

EUROPEAN LADIES TOUR: MFS Women’s Australian Open
Karrie Webb coasted to a very impressive 6 shot victory over Taiwan's Yun-Jye Wei to record her first win of 2007. Webb had started the final round 4 clear of Wei, her only challenger, but by the turn her lead was back to 3 shots as Wei made her move. Webb was not going to be denied though and a birdie at the 13th increased her lead once more and all but secured victory. As Wei's challenge faded with a back nine of 4 over-par, Webb coasted home and despite 2 dropped shots at 14 and 17 Webb had finished on 10 under-par 278 and started her 2007 season off in the best way possible.
